HKABA NSW CHAPTER INVITES BUSINESSES TO ENTER ITS 19TH ANNUAL BUSINESS AWARDS TO RECOGNISE AUSTRALIA & HONG KONG TRADE RELATIONS

Winners will be announced at a Gala Dinner – Friday, 21 September 2018. Tickets on-sale now

Hong Kong Australia Business Association (HKABA) NSW Chapter invites businesses and individuals trading with Hong Kong to enter its 19th annual NSW Chapter Business Awards. The Awards are designed to provide recognition and incentive to NSW individuals and businesses who strive for excellence in all aspects of international trade between NSW and Hong Kong.

Businesses are invited to enter in the following categories:


Export of Goods/Services:
significant achievement in the export of goods and services by a NSW organisation in any industry sector.

Import of Goods/Services: significant achievement in the import of goods and services by a NSW organisation in any industry sector.

Business Development: recognises innovation and/or improvisation of a product of service to and/or from Hong Kong by a NSW organisation in any industry sector.

Business Excellence: recognises significant achievements resulting from plans and actions in the commercial sector to and/or from Hong Kong by a NSW organisation in any industry sector.

All entries are judged by an expert panel, including Australian and Hong Kong government officials, industry professionals, 2018 Platinum Sponsors and other HKABA state/national members. Since its inception in 2000, winners have included Miniso, Blackmores, Australia Post and the University of Wollongong.

Winners will be announced on Friday, 21st September 2018 at a black-tie Gala Dinner taking place in the Grand Ballroom of the Hyatt Regency. Ticket prices are as follows: HKABA NSW Chapter Member tickets: $190 and Non-Members: $240 per ticket. To purchase, visit: www.hkaba-nsw.com.au

The business awards are sponsored by Hong Kong Economic Trade Office (HKETO), nab, Dynamic Payment and supported by Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), Invest Hong Kong and Hong Kong Tourism Board. Sponsorship opportunities are still available and for the first time will include Category Awards Title Sponsors and Business Awards Sponsors.

In 2017, over 300 people attended the Gala dinner, with dignitaries and keynote speakers including NSW Premier, Gladys Berejiklian and one of the world’s most influential scientific minds[1], Dr. Bruce Neal from The George Institute.

ABOUT HKABA
The Hong Kong-Australia Business Association Limited (HKABA), initiated by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, was established in 1987 to promote a positive image for Hong Kong and reinforce economic ties between Hong Kong SAR/China and Australia. Members are local businesses with strong Hong Kong connections or those interested in doing business with Hong Kong and Hong Kong organisations based in Australia. The Association provides networking opportunities on which strong trading and investment links are built between Hong Kong companies and Australian companies.
